Pubic Hair Removal for Women Pros and Cons
By J. Rankin
OK women, Have you ever given much thought to pubic hair removal?
I know it's not a subject many women go around talking about all the time but it really is a subject to put some thought into and perhaps even explore.
So what do you think about taking a look at some of the advantages and possible disadvantages of hair removal from this part of the body?
Maybe it would be a good idea to just simply list them and then we could weigh the pros and cons of pubic hair removal for women to see which side of the scale tips in our favor. Are you game?
Well I'm really not sure if you said yes or no, but it can't hurt to just take a look for ourselves anyway. This way we can all have the information needed to decide for ourselves if it's something we might have an interest in or not.
And if you already have an interest in pubic hair removal for women or you are already removing your pubic hairs just maybe you can learn something new along the way.
Contrary to popular opinion, pubic hair removal is not a recent phenomenon. Many Ancient societies including those in Africa, the middle east, and even during the Roman empire were all known to have practiced pubic hair removal. So this is not something that is just a recent newly discovered behavior.
OK here we go. We'll just list them one-by-one for a good side-by-side (or maybe I should say up-and-down) comparison.
So let's first take a look at the advantages of removing female pubic hairs:
- to remove bacteria and germs, in general to be cleaner (That's nice, can't hurt to be cleaner)
- to be sexier and more sensual to our partners (You can't go wrong on this point either.)
- to have less hairs to get in the way of wearing a bikini or thong (For those lucky enough to be able to wear one of these.)
- to prevent hairs from getting caught in sticky sanitary pads (How often has this happened to you?)
- to prevent hairs from getting into our partners mouths during those intimate times (That's always so yucky.)
- it's easier to care for your private body parts without hair getting in the way (Sounds good to me.)
- to look better and smell fresher (Kind of goes along with the first one but never hurts to smell and look good)
Now for the disadvantages of pubic hair removal:
-having to remove hairs every couple of days for some techniques (Doesn't sound like much fun especially when you look at everything else on this list.)
-itchy feeling when hair is growing back (Oh girl, I can't stand that feeling.)
-skin irritations on sensitive or any type of skin for that matter from such frequent hair removal (Not this and on top of being itchy, how bad can it get?)
-cuts and nicks and even blisters, depending on the form of hair removal used (Oh come on now, this isn't fair at all.)
-Scarring from past cuts, nicks or blisters that make future hair removal more difficult and even more painful (OK, you can stop now I'm grossed out enough.)
-can become quite expensive for many procedures as often as it needs to be done (And now you even want lots of money?)
Gosh I don't know, the cons to me seem to be overwhelming those pros. I mean I really think the pros hold lots of merit and I would really appreciate most of these great advantages. Can you imagine, no more stuck hairs in sticky pads or on the tongues of our partners. I like the idea of being sexier and more sensual if you know what I mean. No more pubes curling outside panties or bikinis wouldn't be a bad idea either. Being fresher, cleaner and smelling good is always very attractive.
But when I look at those cons they are rather hard to ignore don't you think? I mean really, skin irritations and cuts and nicks and blisters and even possibly scarring. Now that's not very appealing to me. How about you? As for the itchy feeling when hair grows back, especially if you don't keep up with it every few days, I don't know if I could deal with that.
Wouldn't it be great if there was some way to eliminate everyone of those disadvantages? I'm totally serious here. Wouldn't you then be more interested in giving pubic hair removal a try? I know I would. And if you already remove your pubic hairs wouldn't this make it much more pleasant for you?
Now days there are a few options available, a quick trim followed up by a shave (either with a razor or an electric shaver), waxing (Brazilian or Hollywood waxing methods - more precisely, designs), plucking (if you are sufficiently patient and have a high pain thresh hold), depilatory creams (make sure you try them out on a small area in case of skin reactions), electrolysis (the only recognized permanent method).
At the end of the day it is just a question of making up your mind.
